2018 Spring League

NXT Spring League

The NXT Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League, launched in the spring of 2015, features teams from Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. Teams with players in grades four through eighth comprise the schedule, which begins in early March. All games are played on Sundays throughout the spring at the Proving Grounds in Conshohocken.

This has become an incredibly competitive league geared toward highly-skilled players who want to develop their game and test themselves against top-notch competition every week. The teams that will be in the league all have a reputation for always having strong, competitive programs, which is the reason why the Uprising Club participates.

The league is split into a AA and an A division with NXT LC, Mesa Fresh Fever, Bucks Select, Leading Edge, Rising Sons, Freedom, Uprising, Roughriders, New Jersey Black Storm, Stars & Stripes and LB3 fielding teams. Players are only eligible to play on one team and there are limited spots in each division.

Games are 12-minute running quarters with a minute-long break in between quarters and a five-minute halftime. Teams play nine regular season games before a two-day playoff weekend that determines the league champion.

The league uses modified Federation rules with minor tweaks to encourage faster play. There is limited contact with an emphasis on player safety, especially when it comes to head contact and unsportsmanlike play.
